Grand opening May 10 during Art Walk, 4-7 pm in the 2nd Floor Grand Hallway and Patrons' Room.
This traveling exhibition curated by the National Center for Children's Illustrated Literature, Abilene, Texas, features the paintings of Jason Chin, an award-winning author and illustrator of children's books focused on science and nature. His paintings in Watercress, alongside storytelling by Andrea Wang, garnered a 2022 Caldecott Medal. With a love for scientific wonders, he has illuminated the mysteries of coral reefs, redwood trees, the Galápagos Islands, gravity, and the elemental particles that make us who we are.
The exhibit is located on the 2nd floor in the Grand Hallway by the 23rd Street entrance to the library. It can be viewed during regular library hours, Mon, Fri-Sat 9:00 am - 6:00 pm and Tues-Thurs 9:00 am - 8:00 pm. No appointment needed.
